A mother and her three children are recovering after a car accident in the Bustleton section of the city.
It happened early Monday morning on Welsh Road between Bridle Road and Morefield Road. Police say a woman was driving with her three kids when she swerved her car to avoid hitting a squirrel, crashing into a tree in the process.
The woman and her children were taken to the hospital where they are being treated for non-critical injuries, according to investigators. Everyone is expected to recover.
