Kirstie Alley's Missing Friend Found Dead in Chester County

Missing North Coventry woman found dead

Kim Cox Twaddell was found dead Sunday morning in Chester County, three days after she was reported missing. Her disappearance prompted actor and family friend, Kirstie Alley, to post personal pleas to the North Coventry woman on Alley's Twitter account over the weekend, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.

"Kim, call if u can," Alley wrote around 1 p.m. Alley also offered a $25,000 reward to anyone who could help find Kim.

"It appears to be a self-inflicted injury," said Phoenixville Police Detective Sgt. Thomas J. Goggin told the Inquirer, describing Twaddell's death as "a tragedy born out of a silent crisis she was apparently having." Her body was found inside her SUV, which was in a parking garage behind Phoenixville hospital the paper reports. She was studying to be a nurse and had interned at Phoenixville Hospital, reports the Inquirer.

Twaddell came home from work at Pottstown Memorial Hospital early Thursday afternoon and asked her mom if her daughters had been picked up from a sleepover. Her mom said "no." Kim asked, "Can you pick them up? I'm outta here." That was the last time anyone saw Kim.

Twaddell, 41, was married to an East Brandywine Township police officer. The couple's two little girls are six and eight.
