The search for a first-year Drexel University student who went missing last week ended in tragedy.

Andrew Yun, 19, was found dead in Los Angeles, California, on Monday. Investigators said there was no evidence of foul play.

Yun was last seen Wednesday at the Towers Hall dormitory, Drexel said in an alert sent to the campus community on Saturday night.

Yun was a student in the Westphal College of Media Arts & Design and a native of Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

"Drexel officials have been in close contact with Andrew’s family and conveyed the entire Drexel community’s sincerest condolences," a spokesperson said. "Andrew showed great promise and potential in his first year at Drexel. His loss is deeply felt by all of us in the Drexel community. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Yun family during this most difficult time. We will continue to support them in any way possible."
