Missing Boater Found Drowned in Pa. River

Coroner: Body found in Pa. river is missing boater

Authorities in central Pennsylvania say a body recovered from the Susquehanna River has been identified as that of a missing boater.

The Lancaster County coroner's office said dental records confirmed that the body found Monday was that of 42-year-old Cody Wilkenson of York County.

Dr. Stephen Diamantoni said the cause of death was “freshwater drowning” and the death was ruled accidental.

Authorities said Wilkenson and 55-year-old Elizabeth Dorsaneo of Thorndale were last seen March 20 after going out in the Lake Clarke area of the river.

The empty, partially submerged boat was recovered two days later. Investigators said the boat was in poor condition, and was in reverse with the ignition on when they found it.
