Mini Pony Named John Wayne Swiped From Farm

Someone stole a 500-pound prized miniature pony from a Smithfield, Pa. farm

State police are investigating the disappearance of a miniature pony from a southwestern Pennsylvania farm.

Officials say the 500-pound pony named John Wayne disappeared late last week from the farm in Smithfield, Fayette County. Owner Laurie Logue tells WPXI-TV the pony disappeared the night before Halloween.

Logue says someone came over the fence and swiped her prized pony, which she valued at $1,600.

The WPXI report says state police are investigating.

Logue says she hopes whoever took the pony hasn't harmed him.
