    Gunshot Victim Dies While on Food Run

    A 22-year-old man was shot in the head and chest several times along Mascher Street in Philadelphia's Fairhill neighborhood early Thursday. A bag of french fries and ice cream remained at the scene where he died. (Published Thursday, July 21, 2016)

    Two men died following two separate overnight shootings in Philadelphia.

    Two gunmen ambushed a 22-year-old man who was driving along Woodcrest Avenue toward N Wanamaker Street in Overbrook around 12:15 a.m. Thursday, said Philadelphia Police. Medics pronounced the unidentified man dead at the scene.

    Investigators found 16 spent shell casings from two guns on the scene.

    A short time later, a 22-year-old man who had just picked up french fires and ice cream was shot more than one dozen times and killed on N Mascher Street in the Fairhill neighborhood, said police.

    Doctors pronounced him dead at a hospital. His name wasn't immediately released.
