Police are on the hunt for a man who they say shot two people outside of a Delaware motel.
Investigators say a 22-year-old woman and a 38-year-old man walked into a motel on 1120 South College Avenue in Newark shortly after 1 p.m. The duo told a motel clerk they had been shot by a man described as an “acquaintance” in the rear parking lot of the motel complex.
Police say the woman suffered a graze wound to the back while the man had been shot in the shoulder. They were both treated and released at Christiana Hospital.
The Newark Police Department SWAT team was called to the scene and searched the complex. The suspect was not found however. Police are currently working to determine the alleged gunman’s identity.
