Police are searching for a man who they say stole money from a woman who failed to close out her transaction at an ATM.
On February 6, at 9:30 a.m., police say a woman made a withdrawal at the ATM of the Bank of America on Oregon Avenue in South Philadelphia. Police say the woman forgot to close the transaction and left after she finished her withdrawal. A short time later a man went to the ATM, accessed the woman’s account and withdrew $700 in cash, according to investigators. Police say he then fled the scene in a silver vehicle.
Police say the suspect is a 50-year-old, dark-skinned black male with a mustache and light beard. He was last seen wearing gold trimmed glasses and a gray sweatshirt with logos on the front and back.
