Police continued to search over the weekend for a missing teen girl after the driver she was spotted with was arrested for running into a sheriff’s deputy, according to investigators.

Hannah Rose Jones, 14, of Florence Township, New Jersey was reported missing on Oct. 8. An FBI Philadelphia Task Force aided in the search for Jones and believed the teen was in the South Philadelphia area.

On Saturday around 11:30 p.m., two members of the task force who are also deputies with the Philadelphia Sheriff’s Office, spotted the teen in a white Pontiac Grand Am on the 3000 block of S. 7th Street, according to investigators. Police say a man, later identified as 32-year-old Deven Harley, was also in the vehicle with her.

The officers pulled up in front of the Pontiac and identified themselves, investigators said. After being ordered multiple times to shut his vehicle off, Harley began to drive off and struck one of the deputies with his vehicle before fleeing the scene, according to police. The deputy suffered abrasions to his hands and knees, the FBI said.

Police officers found the vehicle shortly after on 900 Johnston Street. They then found Harley at 1300 Snyder Avenue and took him into custody, officials said. The teen girl was not with him, however, and police continued to search for her.

Jones is 5-foot-1 and weighs 120 pounds with hazel eyes and sandy blonde hair. She was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt, black leggings and gray Nike sneakers. She also may have been wearing a silver bracelet with hearts.
