Man Tries to Lure Girls Outside of Condo: Police

A man is in custody after police say he tried to lure two young girls in front of a Condominium complex.

Police say several children were playing in front of the Huntington Mews Condominiums on Sunday in Clementon, New Jersey. As they were playing, police say William Lacy, a 62-year-old resident in the condos, called over two of the children.

Lacy allegedly told a 6-year-old girl he would give her a dollar if she came into his apartment. Police say the girl refused, telling Lacy her mother would be looking for her. Lacy then allegedly called over a 7-year-old girl and began to speak with her. As they were speaking, police say Lacy tried to grab the girl by the wrist. After pulling away from him, police say the girl ran home and reported the incident to her mother.

Gloucester Township Police arrived at the complex and took Lacy into custody. He was arrested and charged with two counts of 2nd Degree Luring.

Lacy was processed and remanded to the Camden County Jail after failing to post $125,000 bail.
