Man Throws Knives at Armed Robbers: Cops

Police say an employee at a Trenton pizza shop warded off two gunmen responsible for three other robberies in the area.

Police are searching for two men who they say tried to rob a Pizza Shop in Trenton.

It happened Tuesday at Original Dominick’s Pizza on the 200 block of Sanhican Drive, according to the Trentonian. Police say two armed men entered the establishment and fired a shot into a brick wall.

Investigators say a worker at the pizza shop retaliated, throwing numerous kitchen knives at the suspects causing them to flee.

Police believe the men in Tuesday’s incident are responsible for three other robberies in Trenton. The first occurred on January 16. Police say the driver of a Chinese restaurant was called to deliver food to the 400 block of Home Avenue where he was approached by the two men who demanded money.

On January 19, police say a Domino’s Pizza deliveryman received a call to an address on the 900 block of Beatty Street. When he arrived, the two suspects robbed him, according to investigators.

On January 20, police say a driver for Devito’s Pizza tried to deliver food to a home on the 1900 block of Chestnut Avenue. When he arrived however, the people living at the home claimed they never placed an order. As the driver returned to his car, the two armed suspects robbed him, according to investigators.

Police say the suspects are two black men wearing dark clothing and masks. They also say the men used a rifle, handgun and sawed-off shotgun in the robberies.
