Man, Teen Arrested in Death of Limo Driver

Police announced the arrest of a man and a teenager in the shooting death of a limo driver.

Police announced the arrest of a man and a teenager in the shooting death of a limo driver.

Sabastian Nunez Suarez of Kensington was found dead, slumped over in his Lincoln town car late Monday night on Bingham and Rockland Streets in Feltonville.

Suarez, 52, drove for Condor Limo and Taxi. The limo service says Suarez picked up passengers at 9th and Huntingdon Streets and moments later, someone shot him from the rear seat. Investigators believe he was killed with a handgun.

Witnesses tell police that they saw at least three young men running from the scene. Police captured one man, who they say was covered in blood, two blocks from the scene. He and a second man were brought in by police for questioning.

On Wednesday, police announced the arrest of two suspects in the murder. Christopher Conway, 22, was arrested and charged with murder, robbery and other related offenses. A 15-year-old boy was also arrested and charged with murder, robbery and other related offenses.

Detectives are reviewing surveillance video from the area and searching for the third person they believe was in the limo. Police and family members tell NBC10 robbery was probably the reason Suarez was killed.

"They were looking for money," Eligio Cruz, the victim's brother-in-law, told NBC10's Monique Braxton. "It's a tragedy that humanity revolves around money."

Suarez came to the United States from the Dominican Republic 30 years ago with four siblings. He leaves behind two sons.

"He was a good person," said Fifa Cruz, the victim's sister. "A good brother."

"It's really a shame, he was a really nice guy," said Wilfredo Rodriquez, the victim's neighbor. "He helped the community here. If you needed somebody to help you carry something or if you needed to go somewhere and you didn't have money, he took you and he didn't even charge you."

Police continue to search for the third suspect.
