Man Swipes Jaguar From Dealer, Crashes: Cops

Teen in Bucks County wrecks a $65,000 car while trying to flee from police

A teen is behind bars after allegedly swiping a luxury car from a Philadelphia-area dealership and wrecking it when police tried to pull him over.

Investigators say 18-year-old Allson Ewing jumped in the gold Jaguar sedan after it was pulled into the detailing garage at a Middletown Township, Bucks County dealership on Friday.

Police tell the Bucks County Courier Times an employee had left the keys in the $65,000 car while it was being detailed for the owner who'd just bought it.

Authorities say Ewing sped off when officers tried to pull him over a few minutes later but crashed.

The Penndel man faces charges of theft, receiving stolen property and fleeing police. He's being held on $75,000 bail.

Online court records do not list an attorney for Ewing.
