Man Steals Children's Donations from Philly Wawa: Police

Police are on the hunt for a man who they say stole donation money for a children’s charity while inside a Philadelphia Wawa.

Investigators say the man entered the Wawa store on the 100 block of Byberry Road on May 13 around 3:15 p.m.

The unidentified man stood near the cash register counter and repeatedly tried to unlock a charity box for the Children’s Miracle Network, according to police.

After several attempts, police say the man was finally able to unlock while employees were not looking. He then allegedly stole about $100 before fleeing the store in an unknown direction.

The suspect is described as a 40-year-old man with blonde hair. He was last seen wearing a blue and white shirt, gray shorts and black sneakers.
