Man Stabbed With Broken Bottle During Robbery: Police

A man is recovering after police say he was stabbed during a robbery in the Frankford section of the city.

Police say the 54-year-old victim was on the 5200 block of Frankford Avenue on Friday around 6:40 p.m. when he was approached by a 42-year-old man and a 25-year-old man.

Police say one man stabbed the victim in the mouth with a broken bottle while the second man held him down and went through his pockets, stealing $26. The two men then fled the scene.

The 54-year-old man was taken to Frankford South Hospital where he received three stitches.

Police later located both suspects and took them into custody. Investigators have not yet revealed their identities.
