Elderly Man Claims He Was Stabbed During Limo Carjacking

The victim claims he was stabbed once in the abdomen.

An elderly man is in the hospital after claiming he was stabbed during an attempted limo carjacking.

It happened around 7 p.m. on the 4000 block of Frankford Avenue. The 77-year-old man told police he was sitting at a red light while inside his white Lincoln town car limo. Suddenly he claims he was pulled out of the limo by a masked man. The victim told police he began arguing with the suspect who then stabbed him once in the abdomen and fled the scene.

The man drove himself to Aria-Frankford Hospital where he received treatment. Investigators say he will be transported to Aria-Torresdale. He is currently in stable condition.

The man described the suspect as a thin white male wearing a black mask, black hoodie and dark pants.

Police did not find blood or a knife at the scene. They also say they have no witnesses. They are currently investigating the legitimacy of the man's story.
