1 Dead, 4 Hurt in Philly Overnight Shootings

Police are investigating several overnight shootings in Philadelphia.

On Saturday, around 10:20 p.m., an unidentified gunman opened fire on the 2200 block of North 2nd Street. A 28-year-old man was struck once in the stomach while a 29-year-old man was struck once in the right hand.

The 28-year-old was taken to Hahnemann Hospital where he is in stable condition. The 29-year-old was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital where he is also in stable condition.

On Sunday, around 12:15 a.m., a 21-year-old man was shot once in the buttocks on the 2000 block of Cheltenham Avenue in the Wissinoming section of the city. He was taken to Aria-Torresdale Hospital where he is in stable condition.

Shortly after 2 a.m., a 50-year-old man was shot once in the left foot on the 2100 block of West Allegheny Avenue. He was taken to Temple University Hospital where he is in stable condition.

Finally, a 21-year-old man was shot once in the head shortly before 6 a.m. on the 3600 block of A Street in North Philadelphia. He was taken to St. Christopher's Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Police have not yet revealed his identity.

No arrests have been made in any of the shootings. Police continue to investigate.
