Man Shot, Killed in West Philly

Police are investigating the shooting death of a man in West Philadelphia.

Police say the 20-year-old man was on the 1400 block of North Hobart Street around 2:40 a.m. when an unknown gunman opened fire.

The victim was struck three times in the back. He was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where he was later pronounced dead.

No arrests have been made. Police have not released information on any suspects.

The incident was the first of two shooting deaths to occur overnight in West Philadelphia. Around 3 a.m., a man was shot and killed on North Dewey Street after a dispute over a double parked car.
