Police are investigating the shooting death of a man in the West Oak Lane section of the city on Sunday.
The victim, who investigators say was in his 20’s, was on the 1900 block of 69th Avenue around 4:45 p.m. when an unidentified gunman opened fire.
The man was struck several times. He was taken to Einstein Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 5:05 p.m.
Police have not yet identified the victim. No arrests have been made.
The deadly shooting followed a violent night in Philly in which two people were killed during at least eight shootings within a 3-hour time span.
