Police say a fight over a woman may have led to the fatal shooting of a man in the Nicetown section of the city.
Police say the 21-year-old man was on the 1400 block of Kerbaugh Street Monday night when a 25-year-old gunman opened fire.
The victim was struck several times in the arms, head and chest. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:15 p.m.
Police say the 25-year-old stayed on the scene and was taken into custody. Police also say they recovered his weapon.
Investigators say a rivalry over a woman that both the suspect and victim were once involved with may have led to the shooting.
