Man Shot Dead While Sitting on Porch in North Philly

A man is dead after a shooting in North Philadelphia.

Police say the 39-year-old victim was sitting on the front porch of a home on the 1300 block of Lippincott Street around 2 a.m. Suddenly, police say, an unknown gunman opened fire.

The man was struck once in the head and once in the stomach. Police say the victim went inside his mother’s house and collapsed. He was taken to Temple University Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

No arrests have been made. Police have not yet revealed information on any suspects.
