Investigators say Blunt, 27, was shot inside a second-floor apartment on the 3500 block of Old York Road in North Philadelphia. She was found around 11:30 p.m. lying in bed with at least five gunshot wounds to the chest, torso and arms, according to investigators.

She was pronounced dead on the scene.

Police say Blunt's 6-year-old child and a 3-year-old child Blunt was babysitting were inside the home at the time of her death though they did not witness the shooting.

They were taken to the hospital for evaluation but were not injured.

Police believe Blunt and Haynes got in an argument shortly before her death.

Investigators say that Haynes was out on probation for an unspecified crime. He didn't show up to work Wednesday morning, police said.
