Man Sentenced to 3 Years for Endangering Infant Son

Police say the boy weighed only 15 pounds and had serious medical and mental harm

A Glassboro man was sentenced to three years in New Jersey state prison after pleading guilty to endangering his 15-month-old son who authorities say he failed to adequately feed.

Peter Morselander pled guilty to second-degree child endangerment. Police say the boy weighed only 15 pounds and had serious medical and mental harm when an anonymous call about his condition resulted in a state child-care agency and criminal investigation last year.

The child’s mother, Leah Bozarth, was sentenced to four years in prison for child endangerment.

The child is now living with Bozarth’s parents. Moreslander is seeking to regain custody, according to authorities.
