A suburban Philadelphia man will spend eight to 16 years in prison for a killing that was preceded by days of online trash-talking.
The Intelligencer said 23-year-old Andre Dula of Abington was sentenced last week.
Dula pleaded guilty to third-degree murder earlier this year in Montgomery County Court in the July 2012 shooting death of 27-year-old William Butler.
Prosecutors said the victim was shot in the back during a confrontation near a train overpass in Abington after the men had been trading insults on Facebook and by text messages.
Authorities said the dispute began with a disagreement between the victim's younger sister and Dula's cousin and quickly escalated.
