Man Slams Into Car Carrying Ex, Injures 6

Police say a baby was also in the car at the time of the crash.

Six people were injured early Monday when an enraged man rammed his car into a vehicle carrying his ex-girlfriend, a baby and friends, according to The Morning Call.

Police say that just before 4 a.m., 22-year-old Bryan Rivera-Alicea of Allentown slammed his minivan into the back of a car carrying Lizette Crespo and five others -- including a 2-month-old – into a pole. When the passengers got out of the car, Rivera-Alicea then tried, unsuccessfully, to run the driver over before fleeing the scene, authorities said. All six suffered scrapes and bruises, but are OK, reports the paper.

Crespo tells police that her ex threatened her life over the phone multiple times before the crash, according to The Morning Call. Another passenger then called police and informed them of Rivera-Alicea’s erratic behavior.

After the wreck, officials caught up to the suspect and placed him under arrest.

He is facing multiple charges including drunk driving and making terroristic threats, reports The Call.

Rivera-Alicea is in Lehigh County Prison. His bail is set at $100,000.
