Local police and county detectives are investigating the shooting death of a man during a robbery.
Police said officers were called to a section of Phoenixville at about 12:40 a.m. Wednesday and found 22-year-old Selvin Lopez-Mauricio lying in the street with a gunshot wound.
Officials said Lopez was taken to Phoenixville hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 1:15 a.m. Wednesday.
Police said the victim was on his way home from his job in Limerick when he was assaulted and robbed by two men and a woman, and one of them shot him.
