Man Killed, Woman Injured in Apparent Road Rage Shooting

Road rage led to the shooting death of a man in the Feltonville section of the city overnight, according to Philadelphia Police.

Investigators said around 11:15 p.m., a 43-year-old man was shot multiple times in the chest and leg and a 31-year-old woman was shot twice in the stomach near 5th Street and Roosevelt Boulevard by a man riding on a motorcycle.

Police said that it appeared the rider opened fire after the driver of the car didn't allow the motorcycle -- with three people on board -- to cut in front of his vehicle, according to police.

Both victims were taken to Temple University Hospital. The male victim died around 1 a.m. The woman remained in critical condition Sunday morning.

Following the shooting, police shut down the area around the shooting and were able to locate the alleged shooter.

Officer took an unidentified suspect into custody and found a gun. The district attorney's office is expected Monday to announce if charges will be filed.

The other two people allegedly on the motorcycle remained on the loose.
