Man Dies in Del. Crash

Delaware State Police say a man died after the car he was driving rear-ended another vehicle.

It happened about 11:30 a.m. Thursday on Philadelphia Pike in Wilmington. Troopers say 56-year-old Paul Hare of Claymont was driving south when his car rear-ended a minivan that had slowed down approaching an intersection.

Police say the impact pushed the minivan into the vehicle stopped in front of it. The minivan traveled into the northbound lanes, where it was hit by another car.

Troopers say Hare was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Police say Hare had been involved in a two-vehicle crash just before the one in which he died. Investigators are trying to determine if a medical emergency contributed to Hare's involvement in the crashes and his death.
