A man is suffering in a Delaware trauma center after being run down by a driver who then fled the scene.
The unidentified 49-year-old man was hit just after midnight on Sunday in the westbound lanes of West Newport Pike near Harding Avenue in Wilmington, Del., Delaware State Police said.
After hitting the man, police say the driver kept on going. Unfortunately, no one caught a glimpse of the vehicle.
The victim was rushed to Christiana Hospital with multiple traumatic injuries, police say. He's listed in critical conditon.
State police say detecitves are analyzing evidence at the scene to figure out the make and model of the vehicle.
