Man Convicted of Murdering Pregnant Woman, Unborn Child

A western Pennsylvania man has been convicted of second-degree murder in the death of a woman and her unborn child almost two years ago.

The Beaver County Times reports that jurors deliberated for about nine hours before convicting 29-year-old Marlin Kelly of Pittsburgh on Tuesday of the charge as well as conspiracy, but acquitting him of robbery.

Prosecutors said 19-year-old Conekia Finney, who was about seven months pregnant, was killed in October 2012 by two men who went to an Ambridge apartment to rob her boyfriend.

Thirty-three-year-old Tyrone Fuller earlier pleaded guilty to homicide in a deal with prosecutors under which he would serve 13 to 30 years in prison.

Kelly, who faces a mandatory life term, testified that he heard a gunshot and saw Fuller fleeing.
