Man Charged in NJ Hit-and-Run: Police

A 27-year-old northern New Jersey man has been charged following a hit-and-run crash in Ramsey that left a New York man seriously hurt, authorities said.

The Mahwah man was arrested Saturday after a neighbor noticed a damaged car in a parking lot of a condominium complex, Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said. The car had a broken grille and several dents and matches broken pieces of vehicle found at the scene Friday night, Molinelli said.

The 27-year-old faces multiple charges, including leaving the scene of an accident and driving with a suspended driver's license.

It wasn't immediately known if he had an attorney. His bail was set at $25,000.

The 56-year-old victim from New York City suffered a skull fracture, brain bleed and fractured pelvis, according to Molinelli.
