Del. Man Arrested for Flat-screen Fraud

Police say Jonathan Brown took money from three woman but never showed up with flat-screen TV he promised

A Delaware man faces theft charges after three women said he offered to sell them flat-screen televisions but never showed up with the merchandise after they paid him.

A statement from Delaware State Police issued Monday night says 29-year-old Jonathan E. Brown of Dagsboro was arrested Friday.

Investigators say on three separate occasions in November, Brown told women he met in residential areas that he had televisions to sell them.

In each case, they gave him money, but police say he never returned with the goods.

The third woman told police that Brown also took money from her for a stainless steel boat prop, but he never delivered it.

Detectives are asking anyone who may have been defrauded in a similar way to contact them.
