Surveillance cameras allegedly caught Santiago following the woman while she was walking home from a supermarket on Loretto Avenue April 8. The video showed a man grabbing the woman's pocketbook, throwing her to the ground in the process, before fleeing the scene.
The woman suffered a broken arm and multiple cuts and bruises. Her current health status is not known.
Police had offered a $1,000 reward for information leading to the man's arrest. It is unclear whether the reward will be claimed.
