A flight that took off from Portland, Maine and was on its way to Philadelphia had to be diverted Thursday evening after a passenger allegedly became disoriented and tried to open the cabin door.
40-year-old Michael J. Ensalaco, of Mooresville, N.C. was arrested after the plane landed at Boston's Logan International Airport.
US Airways Express flight 3801, operated by Air Wisconsin, had 50 passengers aboard and three crew members.
A flight attendant helped subdue the man and a passenger watched him until landing in Boston, according to Andrew Christie, airline spokesman.
Ensalaco is being held on a charge of interfering with a flight crew.
