Man Admits Using Work Computer to Share Child Porn

A registered sex offender who formerly worked at a northern New Jersey law office has admitted using his work computer to distribute child pornography.

Federal prosecutors say 33-year-old Kevin Rease of Hackettstown faces anywhere from 15 to 40 years in prison when he's sentenced April 28.

Rease was arrested last April, just weeks after an undercover law enforcement officer downloaded child porn videos that Rease made available through a peer-to-peer file sharing network. Investigators soon determined the person providing the items was using an Internet address belonging to a Paterson law office.

Rease pleaded guilty Wednesday to a complaint charging him with child porn distribution. He has a federal conviction for transporting child porn, as well as state convictions for luring, sexual assault by sexual contact and child endangerment.
