Loaded Shotgun Found in Milford Student's Car in School Parking Lot: Cops

Investigators say it happened Monday in the Milford Senior High School parking lot.

A 16-year-old student was arrested after police say they found a loaded shotgun inside his vehicle parked in the school parking lot.

It happened Monday in the Milford Senior High School parking lot, according to investigators. Police say they received information that a student was in possession of a loaded shotgun concealed inside his vehicle.

Police executed a search of the teen’s vehicle and discovered a loaded shotgun along with additional ammunition, according to investigators. Police say the student purposefully brought it to the school.

The teen was arrested and charged with carrying a concealed deadly weapon, possession of a firearm and other related offenses. The student was arraigned through Kent County Family Court and was released to the custody of his parents along with $20,100 unsecured bond, mandatory electronic monitoring and mental evaluation.
