Lawyer Facing Drug Charges Pleads Guilty

A suburban Philadelphia criminal defense attorney has pleaded guilty to selling prescription painkillers to an undercover police detective.

Fifty-three-year-old Gregory Noonan of Lansdale pleaded guilty to multiple drug-related charges Monday in Montgomery County Court.

Noonan is facing a maximum of 47 years in prison, and some of the charges carry mandatory minimums. He has been disbarred by the state Supreme Court.

Authorities said Noonan sold an undercover Philadelphia police officer 179 oxycodone pills, with the agreement he'd be paid $15 per pill, while the pair met Nov. 23 inside Noonan's Jaguar near the county courthouse.

Investigators claim Noonan called the officer again on Dec. 19 and set up another meeting in Norristown, where the officer allegedly gave Noonan $3,250 for 180 oxycodone pills.
