Officer Shoots Would-Be Robber in Bucks County 7-Eleven, Officials Say

A man who allegedly was trying to rob a Bucks County convenience store was shot and wounded by a law enforcement officer who was part of a task force investigating a recent rash of store robberies.

The shooting at the 7-Eleven store on North Pine Street in Langhorne, Pennsylvania, occurred late Thursday night. Authorities say the would-be robber was being treated at a hospital, but his name and further details on his condition were not disclosed.

Authorities say the store has been robbed three times in recent weeks. The robberies were being probed by a task force that involved officers from Bucks County and the FBI.

No other injuries were reported in the shooting. But information about the officer who shot the suspect was not disclosed.

Investigators could be seen pouring over evidence inside the store through the early hours of Friday.
