4 Sexually Assaulted at Kutztown: Police

Police are investigating two alleged rapes and two alleged attempted sexual assaults at Kutztown University, according to the Reading Eagle.

All four incidents involve female KU students as the victims and male KU students as the accused attackers. All of the victims knew their alleged attacker, according to a University spokesman.

Alcohol allegedly played a role in the attacks, according to school officials.

Police say they don't believe any of the incidents were related.

The first alleged rape happened between 9:30 p.m. and 3:30 a.m. on March 26. The incident was not reported until last Sunday.

The second alleged rape happened last Sunday around 4 a.m. The incident was reported later that day.

The first attempted sexual assault allegedly happened between 7:30 and 8:30 p.m. on March 28. It was reported last Thursday.

The second attempted sexual assault allegedly happened between 3:30 and 4:30 a.m. last Sunday. It was reported later that day.

So far no one has been arrested or charged for the incidents. None of the male students accused have been suspended.

Berks County Police and University Police continue to investigate.
