Kutztown Student Robs Classmates: Cops

A Kutztown University student is accused of a home-invasion robbery at an off-campus apartment.

A Kutztown University student was arrested at his dorm room early Tuesday morning and charged with robbery.

Christopher Biney, 19, broke into an off-campus apartment on March 30 at the Briar Cliff Apartments with at least two other men, according to Kutztown Borough Police. Biney is also suspected in four other burglaries, the latest being at Bieber Alley apartment complex which is located only a few blocks away from the Kutztown campus.

Investigators are now searching for Biney's alleged accomplices and have released surveillance video pictures of them.

They're searching for a black male named Anthony, a Hispanic male who goes by the name Otis or something similar and a black male named Chris.

Police are investigating whether Biney and the other suspects are involved in a recent string of robberies involving Kutztown University students.

The suspects held up two KU students at gunpoint during one of the robberies, according to police.

"When they were leaving there was a girl coming back to the apartment building," said resident Kyle Nickle. "She was confronted by them and it sounded like they hit her with a gun."

Authorities warn the three suspects are considered armed and dangerous. If you have any information on their whereabouts, please call Kutztown Borough Police at 610-683-3545.
