Knife-Wielding Man Shot, Killed by Officers: Police

A man is dead after police say he threatened to attack officers with a knife.

On Monday, around 4:20 p.m., police were called to a home on the 800 block of West Park Avenue in Pleasantville, New Jersey. When they arrived, they say they found 19-year-old Alexis Perez, who lived at the house. Police say Perez was standing outside the home with a knife in his hand making several threats of violence.

Investigators say three Pleasantville officers shot Perez several times. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials have not yet completed an autopsy report or ballistics analyses. The incident is still under investigation.
