Planning a trip this weekend?
Well, if you’re riding with kids, they'll get a free ride if you're on New Jersey Transit.
The Family Super Saver Fare allows two children, ages 11 and younger, to travel for free with each paying adult.
It's in effect from 7pm Friday through 6am Tuesday.
The holiday NJ Transit schedule is as follows:
- Friday, February 13: Buses, light rail and trains will operate on a weekday schedule. “Early getaway” rail service will operate from New York Penn Station and Newark Penn Station beginning at Noon on the Northeast Corridor, North Jersey Coast, and Morris and Essex lines.
- Monday, February 16: Bus schedules vary by route. Check the bus timetables online. Newark Light Rail and Hudson-Bergen Light Rail will operate on a weekend schedule. River LINE will operate on a Sunday schedule.
- Monday, February 16 Train Schedules: 'B7 'B7Montclair-Boonton Line will operate a special schedule during the morning and afternoon peak period times between Montclair State University and New York, and between Lake Hopatcong and Hoboken.
'B7 Northeast Corridor, North Jersey Coast, Raritan Valley, and Port Jervis lines will operate on a weekend/major holiday schedule with additional service during morning and afternoon peak periods.
'B7 Main, Bergen County, Pascack Valley, and Morris & Essex lines will operate on a weekend/major holiday schedule.
'B7 Atlantic City Rail Line will operate on a Sunday schedule.
