Judge Asks DA to Investigate Pa. School Shooting

School Shooting

A Pittsburgh judge is asking the Allegheny County district attorney's office to look into this week's shooting at Brashear High School as well as an earlier incident that authorities say may have triggered it.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported late Friday that District Judge James Motznik wants to find out whether Pittsburgh school officials are responding properly to crimes that occur in school buildings.

Motznik says he's concerned because he's hearing fewer cases from Brashear High School -- near where three students were shot Wednesday. None was seriously injured.

Sixteen-year-old Anjohnito Willet has been charged as an adult with attempted homicide and other crimes after he allegedly opened fire. Pittsburgh police say Willett was assaulted during a ``drug-related'' robbery inside the school Oct. 18, but have not released details.
