Various pieces of jewelry, precious metals, coins, baseball cards and other collectible items that have been collected by the County Police whose ownership could not be determined will be auctioned online.
Items will be added to the online auction beginning on January 2, 2013 and new lots will be added on a daily basis for the next two weeks. Photographs and descriptions of the items will be available on GovDeals.com using a “classic search” with a seller name of “New Castle County”.
Members of the public who filed a report with the police, but whose property may not have been returned to them, are encouraged to view the items during the two week period. Items will be removed from the auction if the owners of the property can provide a police case number and identify items that may belong to them in order to allow for verification of ownership.
