Officer shot by suspect home from hospital

Injured Philadelphia Police officer Kevin Livewell is home with his family.

The Philadelphia police officer who was shot last week was released from Temple University Hospital Tuesday night at 6:30.

He was shot once in the leg during a confrontation last week in the 3000 block of North Water Street in Kensington.

Police recovered an alarming cache of assault weapons at the scene.

Two suspects are behind bars. Ramon DeJesus, 36, of Hasbrook Street and Anel Cuenas, 26, of Mutter Street are both charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, and related charges.

A third suspect is still on the loose.
