Barricade at Bucks County Motel Draws Heavy Police Presence

An armed man barricaded inside a Bucks County motel drew a heavy police presence in Langhorne Monday morning.

Officers responded to the Mall Motel at 4331 Old Lincoln Highway at 7:15 a.m. after a man believed to be suicidal barricaded himself inside a room. The Mall Motel is located on the highway between Rockhill Drive and Bristol Road.

Police spent several hours trying to get the man, identified by police as 51-year-old Russell Treloar of Levittown, out of the room.

Treloar eventually began firing shots inside the room and SWAT officers moved in to take him into custody, police said.

Treloar suffered non-life-threatening injuries during the barricade, police said. He's currently hospitalized.

Police plan to charge Treloar with reckless endangerment, terroristic threats and related offenses. He will be arraigned Monday night.
