Ida's Making Her Way Through the Area — Very Slowly

Tropical Storm Ida is bringing some wet and windy weather to the entire East Coast in the form of a Nor'Easter -- and it's only going to get worse.

Although the strongest part of Ida remains off the Carolina coast, we're feeling her effects here in the area.

As the day goes on, the strong, gusty winds will intensive -- up to 25 mph, with rain continuing off and on. Temperatures will be in the 50s, although it will feel like we're in the 40s thanks Ida's windy conditions.

The slow-moving storm is expected to be with us for the next few days with conditions beginning to improve on Saturday. The good news? Sunday and Monday will be much better with sun and temperatures in the 60s.

If you're headed down the shore, use caution, an off-shore wind of around 31 mph is causing coastal flooding and beach erosion with waves as high as 15-feet.

In North Wildwood, Route 147 is flooded between Maryland and New York Avenues.
