Responsibilities:
Essential Responsibilities
- The NBC O&O television station in Philadelphia is seeking an energized Photojournalist (photographer/editor) with a creative eye for storytelling.
- The ideal candidate will be held to the highest journalistic standards, be able to tell compelling stories with or without a reporter, and flourish under pressure.
- Qualified candidate must know how to set-up and operate ENG live shots.
- Edit long and short-form packages using non-linear edit system (AVID, Final Cut Pro, etc.) and apply creativity with lots of NAT sound. NPPA standards desired.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Basic Qualifications
- Must also have a valid driver's license as well as clean driving record.
- Must adhere to EHS standards and regulations.
- 3-5 years experience in top ten market with a BA or BS in Communications, Journalism or related discipline is preferred.
- Must be willing to work in Bala -Cynwyd, PA.
- Must be willing to take drug test and submit to a background investigation.
Requirements
- Must be self-motivated, and above all else possess a positive, collaborative and energized attitude.
- Must be experienced with Panasonic DVCPRO, Sony Betacam and Sony video equipment, ENG vehicle operations, digital technology.
- Excellent photographic eye.
- Must be able to shoot video and edit under pressure.
- Must be familiar with file transfer systems and have sound journalistic skills and ability to represent the station with the public.
- Must be able to combine excellent lighting along with personal and composition style
- Must also be able to get along well with fellow news people and represent NBC in a professional manner
- Must be self-motivated and a go-getter
