Home Invasion Victim Told “You're Having a Nightmare”

Home invaders tell an elderly woman she's having a nightmare and order her to stay in bed.

An elderly Cumberland County, N.J. woman was told she was having a nightmare by two intruders and then threatened, according to New Jersey State Police.

The 93-year-old woman woke up to find the men, armed with flashlights, going through her dresser drawers at her home along the 600 block of Irving Avenue in Upper Deerfield Township early Monday morning, according to police.

The suspects told the woman she would not be hurt if she stayed in bed and the elderly woman complied, said investigators. The intruders stayed in the house for about twenty minutes. They got away with several thousand dollars worth of jewelry, several firearms including five handguns, four long guns, one large caliber magnum style semiautomatic handgun and one gold plated 45 cal. semiautomatic handgun in a case.

Investigators say they did find signs of forced entry at the home.
