Authorities have released the name of a central New Jersey woman who was killed this week when a fast-moving fire roared through her apartment.
But it's still not clear what sparked the fire, which broke out shortly after 6 a.m. Monday at the Deerfield-Westerlea Arms complex in Hightstown.
Mercer County prosecutors say 40-year-old Matina Edich Leonardo Patino died at a hospital, shortly after she was pulled from her unit at the complex. Firefighters were able to contain the fire to that apartment, and no other units at the complex were damaged by the blaze.
No other injuries were reported in the fire.
